These past six months have been a total blur, but the final results are well worth it. From getting outbid by all cash offers, $70-$80K over asking price offers, to finally getting our offer accepted, to then pulling out of escrow after finding out that we’d have to put $30K into the foundation and roof right away, to then going back into the market, getting outbid a few more times, and finally finding this gem, closing escrow on our first home that had great bones, but cosmetically hadn’t been touched since the 50s! It feels like an entirely new place now. We torn down walls, completely gutted the kitchen, refinished the original hardwood floors, and are so SO happy with how it all turned out.
